The ALEKS hack is the update you already have

There is no new tool to find. The Canvas Hack Extension got an ALEKS reader, and your login and plan carry over. If you already pay for Canvas, ALEKS costs nothing extra.

It works where most ALEKS time goes: Learning mode problems, Knowledge Checks and assignments. ALEKS support is in beta, so write to support@canvasquiz.com if a problem gets no answer.

How it works on ALEKS

  1. Add it to Chrome. Free to add, with free answers to try it.
  2. Open your ALEKS topic from your course, like you always do.
  3. Read the answer under the problem, type it into the ALEKS answer editor, and press Check or Submit.

The limits, up front: it does not type into ALEKS, it is off on LockDown Browser, Respondus and placement pages, and chemistry structure drawing is not supported yet.

What it reads on ALEKS

Reads

  • Typed math: expressions and equations
  • Units, exponents and fractions
  • Problems with a data table
  • Graph problems: lists the points or the shape to draw

Not yet

  • Chemistry structure drawing
  • Some other drawing tools

Off on purpose

  • Pages that need LockDown Browser
  • ALEKS placement tests

Why this beats a chatbot tab on ALEKS

Moving an ALEKS problem into a chatbot means retyping the math, exponents and fractions included. Then you retype the answer back, one problem at a time. The extension reads the problem on your page, with your numbers, and the answer sits right below it.

You stay in charge of every answer

The extension never fills in the ALEKS answer box. It shows the answer; you type it, check it and submit it. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so a quick look before you press Check is worth it.

Where it stays off: schools can require Respondus LockDown Browser on ALEKS quizzes, tests, scheduled Knowledge Checks and placement assessments (ALEKS and Respondus FAQs). The extension does not run there or on placement tests, and it gets around nothing.

One plan for Canvas and ALEKS

There is no separate ALEKS plan. Unlimited covers Canvas quizzes and ALEKS together, and you can cancel anytime.

$14.99 a month, or $48.99 every 4 months for a whole semester

ALEKS questions

Is this a separate ALEKS hack extension?

No. It is the Canvas Hack Extension, updated. One install and one plan cover Canvas and ALEKS.

Does it type the answer into ALEKS for me?

No. The answer shows on the page, under the problem. You type it into the ALEKS answer editor and press Check or Submit yourself.

Does it work on ALEKS Knowledge Checks?

Yes. It works on Knowledge Checks, Learning mode problems and assignments, unless the page needs LockDown Browser.

Does it work with LockDown Browser or on the placement test?

No. It is off on LockDown Browser and Respondus pages and on ALEKS placement tests. It gets around nothing.

Does it do ALEKS chemistry drawings?

Not yet. Structure drawing and some other drawing tools are not supported in this beta. Typed chemistry answers with units and exponents are.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. Adding it to Chrome is free and you get free answers to try it on a real ALEKS problem. Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $48.99 every 4 months.
